Privacy notice

Last updated 12 October 2026

ADHD Unfiltered runs ADHD Unfiltered and is the data controller for your personal data. This means we decide how your data is used and we are responsible for protecting it. You can contact us at support@adhdunfiltered.com.

What we collect and why

  • Account details (email, login details, or your Google sign-in): to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract.
  • What you save (tasks, notes, brain dumps, routines, mood and energy check-ins, saved lessons, learning progress): to provide the service. Some of this may reveal health information. We process it only to provide features you choose to use, and you can delete it at any time. Legal basis: contract and your explicit consent.
  • AI Companion messages: the text is sent to our AI provider to create a reply and is not saved in your account. We keep a daily count of replies to apply usage limits. Legal basis: contract.
  • Subscription status (plan, renewal dates and a Paddle customer reference): to unlock Premium. Legal basis: contract.
  • Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs): to keep the service secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Support messages: to help you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Display and accessibility preferences are stored only on your device. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. We only use the essential storage needed to keep you signed in.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers who host our app, database and sign-in, and provide the AI models behind the Companion. They only act on our instructions.
  • Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, which handles the sale of Premium, subscription management, payments, tax and invoicing. Paddle uses your payment details under its own privacy notice.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, when needed.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell your data.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account in My Space, we erase your saved data and login straight away. Backups clear within 30 days. Paddle keeps transaction records for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or move your data, to object to its processing and to withdraw consent at any time. You can export or delete your data yourself in My Space, or email us. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and database rules that mean only you can read your own records.

Changes

If we change this notice, we'll update the date above and tell you about any significant changes in the app.
