Time blindness

'Time blindness' is a popular, experience-based term for difficulty sensing time passing and estimating how long things take.

Research has found differences in time perception and estimation in some people with ADHD, though findings vary between studies. 'Time blindness' itself isn't a clinical term — it's a description many people find relatable.

It often shows up as two modes: 'now' and 'not now'. Deadlines don't feel real until they're imminent.

Visible clocks, timers that show time draining away, and planning backwards from a fixed point can help make time tangible.
